  • Personal statements are an important component of your CaRMS application.  In a supportive small group, learn strategies for producing statements that are relevant, impactful, and reflective of CanMEDS roles.

Using brainstorming techniques, before and after samples, checklists, and other tools, we will cover techniques for:

    • storytelling

    • avoiding cliche

    • managing coherence, tone, and word count

    • editing and proofreading

    • strategies for planning and completing multiple letters

Program details: 6 hours of instruction across 3 consecutive Sundays, and a 1:1 follow up appointment to finalize your work in progress.

September and October 2024 cohorts: completed.

  • resumes | CVs | cover letters | personal statements

Whether you're brainstorming ideas or you need a meticulous eye on a nearly finalized document, we can help you write, edit, proofread, and format.

Book a 1:1 consultation to work on your documents together or contact us to inquire about asynchronous editing services.

  • Increase your skill and confidence for residency, fellowship, and alternative employment interviews.

    We help clients:

    • refine content, manage time constraints, and develop storytelling skills.

  • IELTS is an English language proficiency exam required by many residency, PRA, and post-secondary programs.

Book a private IELTS lesson and focus on any strand of this exam (e.g. writing, reading, speaking, listening).

Our services are delivered by a certified IELTS speaking and writing examiner specializing in helping clients move from band 6.5 to 7 on the IELTS academic exam.

  • The MMI (multiple mini interview) is required by several residency programs.

Prepare for this style of interview in a 1:1 consultation or by joining a small group practice session.

In our small group sessions, we work through different MMI questions every day, with a focus on critical thinking, medical ethics, and the Canadian healthcare ethos. Group sizes are limited to allow ample time for discussion and individual feedback.

  • CASPER is a situational judgment exam required by several residency programs.

We offer small group practice sessions focused on critical thinking, efficiency, clarity, and communicating under tight time constraints.

Any of the content from small group sessions can be offered in a 1:1 consultation, however, group sessions are highly recommended so participants can compare their answers to those of their peers.
